SAFE 2 SAVE, App That Rewards Users For Safe Driving, Launches In Cypress

A new phone app designed to discourage distracted driving has launched in the Cypress and Jersey Village areas. Officials with Safe 2 Save, which was founded by a former Texas A&M student in College Station, celebrated this morning, Dec. 14, with a launch party at Chick-Fil-A Cypress in Towne Lake.

The app allows users to rack up points that can be redeemed for rewards at local businesses. The user simply has to open the app before starting a trip and will then receive two points for every minute of driving undistracted at a speed of at least 15 miles per hour, founder Marci Corry said.
