Buckle Up 4 Kailee 5K Bubble Run To Benefit Kailee Mills Foundation

Fire trucks, ambulances and police cars will turn on their flashing lights as bursts of color powder, tossed into the air, shower down on runners at the starting line. When the Life Flight helicopter takes off, the first response vehicles will blast their sirens to start the Buckle Up 4 Kailee 5K Bubble Run at Gullo Park on Sunday, Oct. 27.

“It’ll be a pretty cool effect and people, I think, will kind of get the message when they see all the flashing lights of the first responders that typically respond to crashes,” said David Mills, president of the Kailee Mills Foundation.

16-year-old Kailee Mills was in a car with friends on their way to a Halloween party Oct. 28, 2017. She unbuckled her seatbelt for a second to take a selfie when the car veered off the road and wrecked just blocks away from her Spring home. She was thrown from the vehicle and died.
