Local hospital throws support behind anti-distracted driving mobile app

Baylor Scott & White Health announced Monday it will be the presenting sponsor of Bryan-College Station-based Safe2Save, an app that rewards people for not engaging in distracted driving.

As car crashes continue to be the most common cause of death and injury, Baylor Scott & White says they are always evaluating opportunities that encourage drivers to eliminate distracted driving from their day-to-day lives.

The app, launched in October 2016, currently has more than 16,000 active users in Bryan-College Station, Madisonville and Waco, and recently expanded into Midland. Baylor Scott & White is currently the presenting sponsor for the app in Bryan-College Station and Waco markets.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – College Station is a Level III Trauma Center dedicated to helping community members in their time of need, but stresses the importance of prevention to keep roads in the Brazos Valley as safe as possible.
